Traveling..

So who wants to know how a lineman travels on the road?! This is how.

This is our fith wheel on the back. This is also how lineman travel a lot of times (in packs) haha.
Ok I know its crazy. I didn't even know that people stayed in R.Vs until I started this life. But you know what its way better than staying hotels for months at a time or going to try and find an apartment to rent and finally finding one, staying in it a month then having your husband tell you he is dragging up and you have to move all your stuff. So its the smart thing to do. We stay in a 30ft. fith wheel. Yes it is small, yes we do not have a bath tub (we have a shower), yes I have to do my laundry in a laundry mat, all crazy things but it is what works. I used to hate living in our travel trailer. I would complain about it every day. "when are you going to settle down so we can get a house" "ITS SO SMALL IN HERE" "I hate not having a washer and dryer." haha ok ok I still do that sometimes, its just not every day anymore. Finding space is hard and you have to down size everything. The good thing is camryn cant have as many toys. haha I hate toys. You have to be very creative to find space.

This is my frige. VERY small. Up top is the freezer. You cant go out to the grocery store and go crazy and buy all kinds of stuff. I make several trips to the store a week. We recently got a mini frige and put it out in our storage bin under out trailer. That helps a lot!

This is my kitchen haha. So small but hey it works! The tile used to not be there. My mother in law and I put it up. For all you travelers out there, making your rv. your own and decorating is one of the best things you can do to make it more "homey"
Why we have not bought a house yet is because my daughter is only 3 almost 4 and she is not in school. I didn't see why we wouldn't want to travel with Cody. Why go stay in a house with out my husband? We have been so many places and seen so many things. I have now grown to love traveling. Yeah it is a pain in the butt living in a R.V but look at it this way its a way smaller space to clean and maintain lol. Well you got to see a sneak peek into part of what it takes to be a lineman wife. Its all about sacrifices. You might think we are crazy for it but hey its my life and I love it!  Have a wonderful day!!!

Texas...

This is my lineman, Cody. I had to be the grunt and pass him up a beer. haha. This was taken in Baytown Texas. Of course we were in our RV. Park, the wonderful KOA. I have met some really great people along our journey, and two of the best were Cindy and Ted.

They were my family when we were there. They had a wonderful grand son Blaedin who was the same age as my daughter and they loved to play. Did I mention Cindy made the BEST margaritas, and that Ted was the BEST on the BBQ grill. I will never forget my Texas family. Hopefully one day we can meet up again.

One of the worst things about traveling with my husband has been meeting people you love and having to leave them.

One of the best has been all of the places we have been able to go to. Every where I have lived, except for Arizona. I have been only an hour from the beach. How awesome!! It is for the Missouri girl. I've been to the beach in Texas,Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and California. Well that is all for now...to be continued..

Brand new

Hello to all of you out there. This is going to be a blog for all of you girls, whether you are a linemans wife, stay at home mom, or a busy working lady. I wanted to start this blog for mostly all of you linemans wives out there. Me being one myself don't see many places on the internet for "people" like us lol. I though it would be good to have a place to support each other. We all know it isn't easy. I'm sure many of you have delt with being on the road, having kids on the road, or even staying home while your husband helps to restore power. So this will be a place for people with the same common interest. Trying to stay sane when you have a crazy lineman husband.

So let me introduce myself. My name is Sarah Fleming. I am still very young (20 yrs old) but feel like I have had some "big girl" experiences. I'm originaly from Missouri. Now currently in California. We stay in a fith wheel trailer and move around A LOT!!! I have a 3 year old daughter named Camryn. Shes a blonde hair hazel eyed spit fire lol.  And lastly but most importantly my husband, Cody. Yes he does drive me insane but at the same time he keeps me grounded.

So get ready to hear about lineman, kids, big diesel trucks, RV parks, and the life of a linemans wife.
