Brand new

Hello to all of you out there. This is going to be a blog for all of you girls, whether you are a linemans wife, stay at home mom, or a busy working lady. I wanted to start this blog for mostly all of you linemans wives out there. Me being one myself don't see many places on the internet for "people" like us lol. I though it would be good to have a place to support each other. We all know it isn't easy. I'm sure many of you have delt with being on the road, having kids on the road, or even staying home while your husband helps to restore power. So this will be a place for people with the same common interest. Trying to stay sane when you have a crazy lineman husband.

So let me introduce myself. My name is Sarah Fleming. I am still very young (20 yrs old) but feel like I have had some "big girl" experiences. I'm originaly from Missouri. Now currently in California. We stay in a fith wheel trailer and move around A LOT!!! I have a 3 year old daughter named Camryn. Shes a blonde hair hazel eyed spit fire lol.  And lastly but most importantly my husband, Cody. Yes he does drive me insane but at the same time he keeps me grounded.

So get ready to hear about lineman, kids, big diesel trucks, RV parks, and the life of a linemans wife.

  1. Sarah! I live a very similar life. However we do move from place to place with my husband it is a rough/yet interesting life we live. Dex is gone 7+ months out of the year and it sucks. But it is also nice when he comes home we have so much to talk about, do, and laugh about. Having riley is pretty hard bc he misses his dad so much as do I. I definitely think it takes one women in a million to live this life. Both of our husbands work the most dangerous job period. Work crazy hours, and different parts of the US. There are so few men who step up and do the unthinkable to take care of their family and babies. I love my husband for what he does but little does he know about a day in my shoes. Battling a Terrible Two Year Old on your own. 24 hours a day 7 days a week, talking to only a 2 year old the last 2 years of life, starving for adult interaction! Im jealous that you get to travel with around with Cody however I look forward to hear about the up's and downs. I couldnt be happier that you did this, i find myself very lonely a lot with lots to express. Not living close my friends and being away from my best friend in the whold world and no one to talk to. It gets very rough. Hope your hanging in there and living life like we are. We are learning to live this way better every day, and loving every second that dex is home and not wasting a breath.

    1. Hi. I see this is a year old, but maybe you're still around! My hubby is an apprentice and I'm home w/2-year-old daughter. Thinking maybe we could get a trailer and travel w/him cause staying home alone, no nearby fam or friends is getting depressing.
